Welcome Message

Founded in 2019, the Center for Virtual Care at Weill Cornell Medicine aims to transform healthcare delivery through the use of telemedicine, with a focus on quality of care provided and improving patient outcomes. Over the last several years, telemedicine has rapidly expanded and evolved, transforming the healthcare industry. We launched the Center to help ensure clinicians utilize telemedicine best practices, have a firm understanding of the latest legal and regulatory guidelines, and are comfortable treating patients virtually.

Telemedicine requires healthcare providers to use a different set of skills to connect with their patients. We offer training in virtual healthcare best practices for all levels of medical providers — from medical students and residents to established clinicians and hospital leadership. Our training modules provide learning in the basics of telemedicine, the importance of “web-side manner,” remote patient exams, and modality-specific decision making, and can be customized to meet the needs of any department or institution. Each of our faculty members is a leader in virtual healthcare research, education and innovation, and have extensive experience providing virtual care.

We invite you to explore our website and discover more about our mission, our training modules, our faculty and other programs.
